Normally I would not bother to respond to a post with content such as yours, but clearly you do not understand the roles or functionality of corporate management.
So let me explain, for your edification.
The role of a non-executive chairman is specifically NOT to be involved in the day-to-day executive functions of the company- his/her role is to oversee the broader functionality, such as ensuring proper corporate governance, overseeing audits and other non -executive functions such as remuneration and seeing to the public's face of the company. Critically, he looks ahead, looking for potential hazards and looks to ensure that the company is properly and well funded. In simpler words, he is the ringmaster. He is guided by -and guides- management-i.e executives- usually the CEO and /or Managing Director ( who may, in small companies, be the same person). He has the power to give final assent to new board members and directors, whether executive or non-executive and to keep a watchful oversight of how management is performing. He may also hire and fire top management, normally in concert with the other directors. Most importantly, he does NOT take executive decisions, that is the role of the executives- specialist managers, staff and executive directors. Those at the top in AKP are Danny and Yuval. They both have the technical/scientific knowledge, experience and specific specialisations. They do the hiring and firing and they report to the board via the chair. In other words , they are responsible for the running of the operations of the company, NOT the chairman.
Your comment such as Fred having zero technical experience is, in fact, correct; such expertise is not what one expects of a non-executive director. . So I don't understand why you then proceed in the same sentence to state that he "is singularly responsible for the next leap in speaker tech..." a nonsense.
Fred has done an outstanding non-executive chairman's job over the years, firstly by finding and corralling the conceivers of this incredible technology, setting up a corporate structure around them, funding it largely himself, ensuring that the biggest names in sound become aware of the possibilities, and get them to do an enormous amount of spade work, then ultimately finding a fab dedicated to producing the hardware and to bring together the forces to make this globally disruptive technology work. EM is well advanced.. see the earlier publication on their WIP.
As a concluding comment, I must add that your attempt at flowery language (Bobs n Nobs ?/ playing out of key?/dark waters of oblivion ? Really now.. you get a D minus for those efforts....) is about as poor as your understanding of the intricacies of corporate functionality.
