You're most welcome @RoboStock92, happy to help.

With company options such as these (as opposed to exchanged traded options), it's best to consider them as two completely separate entities. Exchange traded options, as an alternative, offer a lot of flexibility such as 'insurance' through the use of put options, speculation and income generation, but that's not relevant to your specific question and heads towards 'financial advice'. Great for you to do a lot of personal research though and, from personal experience and personal opinion, the Australian exchange traded options market is pathetic with respect to expense and coverage (U.S. is much better), but that's another story. Back to your query and scenario - rant over.

With your example, 1000 AEV shares and 1000 AEVO company options should be treated completely separate. Purchasing the 1000 AEV shares does not provide you with any company options - you would need to physically go to your broker and request a purchase of the 1000 AEVO company options. Upon purchasing company options, you have two alternatives:

    (1) hold them and hope for the price of the company options to rise, or
    (2) exercise them at any time you wish to convert them to shares.

Remember, the options themselves have a 'strike price'. For AEVO that strike price is 0.025, which means that you need to PAY $0.025 for each unit of the company options to convert the options to shares at any time prior to the expiry date of 31st October 2025 (plus any fees that the registry charges on top of this). Therefore, you need to be able to work out your 'break-even' should you wish to go down this route. If you'd like to discuss the process of physically exercising the share options, prior to purchasing any (after all, knowledge is power, since the process itself does take time here in Australia), it would be best to contact the share registry responsible for Avenira, who are Automic Registry Services in Perth - their phone number is (08) 9324 2099.

    Hope this helps!
