Who has listened to the latest podcast with ARM?
Kevin Ryan, head of IoT at ARM states that last quarter they shipped 7.4 billion chips to ecosystem clients.
We are an ecosystem partner of ARM, obviously. They wouldn’t be participating in the podcast otherwise. Let’s look at the 7billion number. I am borrowing this idea from Stable Genius from the site that shall not be named. Let’s take 1% of 7bill. A very conservative amount considering ARM see us as a meaningful partner. That is 70 million, and let’s say royalties per chip are 20 cents (I’m told that is conservative) so that equates to $14,000,000 per quarter. On 1%. Also that is USD, so that is AUD$21 million. Per qtr. Just from ARM.
Realistic numbers given what we are offering the edge AI market. I wonder what numbers MegaChips might ship to clients. Remember we are a strategic partner of MegaChips, not just an ecosystem partner.
