I suspect this is a risk mitigation decision. They are running without any GR/RES and the drilling window for mud weight will be closing with each stand they drill. I believe they are wanting to get some definitive data and a formation fluid sample(s) from these zones while the borehole is still behaving. Once the well starts to go south, it is very difficult to recover from and the better the borehole conditions, the better the wireline logging data you recover. This is the right way to go about it, particularly in a basin-opening campaign. Great to think we could get to the Lower Angwa. Be even better if we had reliable LWD....
