I agree, short term AU price is irrelevant, only major changes in sentiment are likely to cause a move in SP, ATM most people would have a price estimate for 2011 of somewhere between 1100 & 1500 an ounce, if AU were to rally past 1500 and look like it could sustain it, then you would see the market rerating.
Just IMO
Also this years gold price is completely irrelevant as we dont have any gold to sell this year, so absolutely zero financial impact.
