I continually wonder why TLS has never been able to expand overseas.
It tried in HK and sth pac and failed. Maybe others i dont know.
In comparison singtel (owner of optus) has 550m customers in aust, africa, india se asia etc.
Indeed Vodafone is biggest telco in world althiugh #3 in aust. Aust is a small market 30m customers.
TLS needs to expand and look at asia maybe indonesia/ india or phillipines are good targets 2b people. 10% is more than current aust market share
So where is the TLS growth strategy? 60% market share in a mature over supplied market in aust and trying to win more or protect existing is not a profit maximising strategy IMO.
TLS and VB needs a growth strategy.
