The US medical system is a joke. Even if you have GREAT medical insurance which I think I do (or least that's what they tell me I pay for). I probably pay more in medical insurance premiums between myself and my employer than most people outside America earn per year. Medical insurance is Mandatory in the US, so we have to pay and be covered. However if anyone in my family were to have an accident/get sick most of our time/effort would be trying to get the insurance company to respond, let alone pay for the medical bills. Most people in the US think they have the best medical system in the world until they get sick and need medical help and then you are stuck trying to work with an insurance company instead of working on getting healthy. Luckily we have been blessed with good health and good luck. But as most Americans age into retirement one of the biggest concerns is Medical as most 99% cant afford it, So they look at retiring in places like Mexico, Philippines or anywhere else that is cheaper than the US. Which is pretty most everywhere.
