It was an ultra high-speed construction in 194 days and a second FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) will be in operation by eoy.
The plan is to have not less than 7 FSRU operating by end of 2023 capable to process 1 TCF of gas per year (we had not one LNG-Import-Terminal in Germany at the beginning of this year…).
65% of imported gas per year resp. 1.85 TCF/y was natural gas piped from Russia in the past (another example is Austria with 80% share) which must now be replaced by new import routes…
Europe will be for years in a very strong demand for LNG…
