Shorts have decreased not increased - albeit by a small amount. It's neither here nor there but if we are going to make assertions let's at least make them directionally correct.


In fact, Morgan Stanley were the number 1 buyer on Friday which may indicate that they have started to cover their short position. We will need to see tomorrow's short report to find out (they sold a fair bit on the 4th, 7th and 9th so they may have just been replenishing their inventory at lower prices - i.e. not specifically changing their short position). In terms of their short position, the impact of the GS and CS reports may have helped take the heat off them for now.
