    Super,

WOuld loved to hear your thoughts on why you thought my post was narrow minded.

I shared some quite personal information on a family friend who (looking back with 20/20 vision) paid a pittance for NAB shares and then sold them because he thoguht he had made enough. I told you they were sold for $4.70 a piece. I didn't even tell you what he paid for them. Two parcels purchased. 1 parcel at $2.70 and one parcel at $4:03. And both well before the introduction of CGT in September 1985.

I was really only pointing out one or two facts. I was not criticising "traders", nor was I necessarily lauding "investors". All I was saying was that if you trade frequently one or more stocks then you are a trader not an investor. Nothing wrong with either. However, there is ample ividence to suggest, that a true investor makes just as much or more money in the long term from a wisely chosen investment with a sit and hold time frame with an average down or dollar -cost average process over time as opposed to stopping out or trading out of positions very frquently and with a high degree of seemingly impossible and consistent skill levels.

Here I would add, as far as it concerns me, I am an "investor" with the bulk of my AJA (and other stocks too) holdings. However, I contribute my fair share to the volume of AJA that is traded on a day to day basis from time to time. In doing that, I have never used a chart. I just don't understand them. Traders make the charts true. The charts don't make the trading true. However, I can see how charts could be of value looking at what has happened in the past.

Finally, I'd like to add that I did check out livewithoscar.com. I found the guy informative and insightful and I enjoyed his manner and his presentation style. THe kind of guy you could have more than one or two beers with.

    Cheers and good luck.
