I also like Loki’s cautious take on proceedings, as it keeps my own in check. To be fair, LG is much more than comic relief, ganz klug. It’s impossible to be an expert on everything though, and sometimes even a brains trust gets it wrong. But the Brains Trust, Pickers9, Wary, Oldfolk, DanBradster, Gymjunky, LG, BentleyBoy, Kalmin, Denial, Cowbell, Smarts86 et al (apologies for those Ihave missed) aren’t wrong. The timing of the SP reflecting the company’s asset value is esimply being dictated by the shorter as the regulator is deliberately looking the other way. “Nothing to see here, please move along “. This Parliamentary inquiry into ASIC is a decade overdue.

Separately, I don’t understand how they have done it, but the ASIC daily short report shows that the number of shorted shares is now less than 1m(981k), so either they are doing something right or more likely, sacrificing other investors in a fund they manage.
