People like Abbott only for the Don Chipp'esque approach of 'keeping the bastard honest'. Rudd needed to be held to account and brought back to earth. Abbott has been able to do that but the only reason you would vote for Abbott is to stop labor from having an absolute majority. I may have conservative leanings but whilst I would not vote for Rudd I certainly would prefer him as PM than Abbott. Now if the other half of the comedy duo was still in the game my opinion may be different. The silly thing about politics is that Abbott actually may best serve the Australian people by being an aggressive opposition leader and holding the government to account rather than ever getting the top job (not that I can see that happening)
