Unfortunately for us the extreme Green’s views are not only permeating all levels of government but some of the biggest companies. Even BHP has pulled back from oil. The number of oil exploration wells being drilled in Australia is on the decline and yet we will need oil and gas for decades ahead. My grandchildren MIGHT get to fly in a plane running on batteries but I doubt that such batteries are around yet. Global warming is occurring, but I’m not convinced that CO2 is as much to blame as suggested by some. The chemical composition of many current batteries is likely to cause more contamination IMO. Hydrogen would appear to be the best solution. The disposal of solar cells and windmills will also be a major problem . To service all the electric vehicles we will require a large increase in electricity supply and I can’t see that being possible without nuclear power. Let’s hope CVN’s venture into renewables is competitive!! We might need to have a few blackouts to convince some that other approaches are possible.

I’m hoping for a rethink from STO on Dorado and an announcement of a 2023 drilling program. The delay in finding further partners for drilling outside the Bedout is also worrying. It’s been years now! It seems CVN isn’t being swamped by likely partners for the Bedout and the same seems to be case with financiers. We really do need a positive update or the price can only slump further. I'm getting a bit old to tread water for much longer.
