A story and lightbulb moment.
Sometime ago I owned shares in Oxiana that I sold for approx $1.
Some 13 years later BHP has put in a takeover offer for OZL ( Oz minerals ) which was created by merging Oxiana and Zinifex worth $9.6 billion ( $28.25 per share ). if only I had hung on.
Oz Minerals own the Prominent Hill Copper and Gold mine plus another mine in the Gawler Grafton Region.
The main reason that BHP wants OZL is to consolidate ( own) all mines in the Gawler Grafton Region.
What,s this got to do with HIO you may ask.
HIO and MGT cover the Braemar Region in. Magnetite ore.
I envisage that we have our BHP moment, but hopefully it is less than 13 years.
