I think they were looking at more high profile industry people. So with the latest spate of hacks I have seen both Cybercx and Senetas quoted in the media but not TNT. I think they would like to raise their profile enough so that when journalists are looking for quotes, TNT is one of the companies they think of.

While I agree that it’s really all about the bottom line, on the other hand there are thousands of companies out there and analysts are not looking at every company. You need to be on the radar enough, so that they are looking at your half and full year releases. While I don’t mind the media push, I think analyst briefings are also important once you have a good set of figures to spruik and that should be this year. I guess that goes with raising your profile. Presumably analysts are very busy as well and don’t want to talk to every micro cap who tries to contact them.
