Well it will vary greatly between resource, so there are no magic numbers, it isn’t a one size fits all thing. Not only does the presence of other ions complicate extraction (and reduce yield) but the environmental properties also have an effect. Extracting the same brine at a different altitude or time of year can change the recovery rate (for ponds), for instance.

This isn’t iron ore or coal mining, it’s specialty chemical refining, whole different ball game so comparing resources requires a more nuanced approach… comparing bottom line numbers from DFS is probably the easiest measure, rather than trying to look at it chemically.

Anson is a unique resource compared to say South American brines, the “contaminant” minerals (from an Li perspective) are present in such high concentrations that they can be economically extracted in their own right, and they will come to the plant without any pumping.

Honestly though, as an investor you can almost park your money in any Li stock and make good returns over the next 5-10 years. The bulk of projects will probably do well, or at least be gobbled up by a major.
