Please read the announcements properly. The figures they are reporting is the drill length...NOT total vertical depth.
Also reconditioning the mud is likely the incresing in mud weight. This is also in the report.
Increasing mud weight is good, as the mud also provides a balance to the pressures encountered at 10,000 feet if increasing gas pressures are encountered.
