If you look at WBC,NAB,ANZ they all are around the price they were 20 years ago ,they pay good dividends but there has been no growth in the SP,the business model is broken they have sold off parts of their businesses so the business is getting smaller and the mortgage brokers are cutting their grass, they have all engaged in buy backs to increase EPS.
They all look after themselves and their mates from the top end of town, they treat their customers and retail shareholders appallingly,NAB raised cash at $14 in 2020 and the top end of town got their guts full while the retail share holders got scaled back ,then 12 months later they had a buy back at $28 and guess who got most of that their mates again, they have destroyed share holder value and payed dividends out of capital raising.

Contrast that to CBA and MQG that I bought in 2008 for around around $35 and $25 respectively.
