Your assumption is wrong. I'm not advocating/promoting EVs for the following reasons: (a) at this stage they are too expensive for the average Aussie (b) There are proposals for taxpayers (Government) to subsidise new EV purchases (Middle class welfare) (c) That at present EVs are not paying their fair share of roads costs & transport infrastructure
I hope that clear.....even for you...eh?
My comment was made because this Automobile Board has been hijacked by EV's & EV materials given that EVs less than 2% of vehicle sales and less than 0.02 % of our vehicle park.
I would be delighted to see hundreds of posts on ICEs such as: -modern diesels -turbo vs N/A -transmissions ...Hyd Auti, D/C, CVT, manuals etc -tyres......high end vs el-cheapo Chinese (I use Maxxis) -clear coat peel ...there is an ADR that says paint , Upholstery etc has to last at least 10 years under Aus conditions (The peeling of clear coat has become an enormous problem with a repaint being as much as $5K) -AWD vs FWD,Vs RWD (I prefer RWD)
etc etc etc
So in summary, dont assume that because I mention EVs that I am advocating them
