Minor problem there. China IMO has more than the US and the US likely has only a small fraction of that stated. They could not even return the Au they were holding that BELONGED to Germany when the latter demanded they be returned. Further, the US would not allow Germany to see the Au that was owned by Germany!
Someone suggested at that time that the US had loaned its gold to certain other countries under the system operating then and it was gone for good.
