I see your point Dratoz. I guess the company must have taken a view that the plant's problem's weren't serious enough to disclose to the market.
Ultimatly, the issue is that when an announcement is made committing to a particular deadline- in AAM's case the gold pour being earmarked for the end of Dec 09, management should be pretty damn sure they will achieve it, otherwise it spooks the market. Hopefully this situation is not going to be repeated this week.
