Cbrmaroon, You need to start thinking for yourself rather than believing all the greenie bs. The technology doesn't exist for renewables to provide reliable and low cost base load power. Why do you think Germany is bulldozing wind turbines and restarting mothballed coal fired power stations?
Whatever developed countries do to reduce carbon emissions will have no effect on world net emissions as all the high power consuming industries in countries that signed up to net zero will move to developing countries countries that are free to emit as much carbon as they want and who burn more polluting lower grade coal. Each year China is adding coal fired power station capacity that is equivalent to Australia's total coal fired powerstation capacity. These zero net emission targets only apply to developed countries because the targets are there because of a wealth redistribution agenda it's nothing to do with climate change.
