Pretty much, yeh. The irony is the harder they try to stop future fossil fuel expansion everywhere the more valuable existing, producing mines are. The harder they push for expensive renewables the cheaper coal looks relative to other sources.
as to share price volatility there's plenty of instances it's dropped 10% then bounced straight back up again, and the buyback would theoretically place some pretty solid resistance at that price would it not. It slowed right down when the buyback was able to enter again yesterday, correct me if I'm wrong.
