you seem to belong to the group of people who believe that poverty represents moral turpitude and is this deserved.
In some cases that may be so but there are plenty of hard working people for whom life hasn’t quite worked out. The fastest growing group of people facing homelessness is older women - not eligible for the aged pension - who have been carers, become unwell, divorced or made redundant and replaced by someone younger and prettier. Many of these have been professionals - nurses, teachers, administration officers and the like. Some have been subjected to family violence.
how do you think business owners produce the goods and services that you see as progress. They don’t make themselves. They rely on labour. we live in a world where the gap between a CEO and workers is significantly greater then it was decades ago and greater than it is in countries that perform well economically.
I can’t help wondering if you came from a family that was in a lower socio economic group initially and having made your way to a better position regard others who have not with contempt
it marks you out. these are precisely the attitudes that eventually give rise to rebellion. It has nothing to do with laziness and everything to do with worth. In the end people get fed up with being treated as if they are brainless, worthless non contributors.
