The announcement identifies that it is a "commercial" partnership as against a "research" partnership and given that the only commercial enterprise within cooee of Microba currently is the microbiome tests then I guess it means that Microba is looking to go big fast with the test business. Maybe one of the existing or potential distributors wants to be more than just a distributor and has convinced Microba that it can grow the business in a accretive way for both it and Microba.
Microba is only a relatively new listing on the ASX so hopefully it is not a change of control transaction. The other thing is that both the chair and the deputy chair only recently bought a bunch of MAP shares. It would be surprising if they had done so immediately before a company changing transaction.
