Sorry if I come across sounding obnoxious but given the amount of security breeches with large corporations recently, inclusive of Optus to which I am a customer. Given that, I do not follow links from within emails before checking the sender, and even then I go to the actual website versus any link.
Anything authentic coming from Firefinch Limited has "FFX new announcement ......, " in the subject header, today's email didn't hence why I was somewhat suspicious. FFX or any listed company are bound by the regulators ASX (guidance note 14) to send announcements to MAP/MAO where it is processed then released to the ASX platform, this is completed prior to any emails being sent to shareholders.
Prior to the Optus breech I didn't have the same level of vigilance as I have now though.
cheers
