Personally I welcome all comments on a site like this, and do appreciate your views.
Your comment "disappointment with the South African trials will be the end of the road" is something I have thought about long and hard. My view on the situation is that VHL has significant downside protection due to it's ownership of the technology platform which has yielded excellent success in two of Transgenes drugs, both of which present potential milestone payments and royalties to Virax.
The company has been undercapitalised for many many years. I have followed the stock, and successfully traded the previous spike but remained on the sidelines till very recently. I was waiting for the following:
1) Injection to the balance sheet: Achieved 2) Success in transgene drugs: Achieved 3) Commencement of Phase II trial for VIR-201: Achieved 4) Success in the theraputic vaccine area: Achieved
I just don't think the market has come to terms with the potential of this new class of drug. DNDN, Transgene and a handful of other companies are seeing success. Great success. VHL doesn't have a market cap of $1000m, or $500m, or $200m, or $100m, or $50m but only a cap of $15m!!!!! And yet they own the technology platform which has yielded great success for Transgene.
Personally I view VHL as a roulette gamble with excellent leverage, but with significantly less risk than the market is pricing.... I guess that's why I hold stock.
