Sorry, I thought you said that if the data was so good that a place holder bid should be in place to give a BP co. 1st right of refusal.
Who knows, maybe BP have already tried this and PAR have refused. Why would they lock-in something like this now when the data continues to impress.
I came to the conclusion a long time ago that you just have to back PR on this. It is his baby.
