I think todays “announcement” from renesas is a friendly reminder to everyone for how long things take… it took a tech GIANT 2 years to implement BRN IP into their own SOC. now they will test it out across the market to see if it’s worth their time making it in house…
this is a very long process. The lack of new deals signed should indicate a few lean years of revenue. I personally would have expected far more deals to be done. Are there deals being done on BRN behalf via megachips..? Maybe so that 2 year ball could be rolling on a few fronts…
the IP license model needs hundreds of IP licenses to become successful and sustainable.
