The majority of the OT prophecies thought to be about Jesus in fact refer to a second Messiah who will return and be of the same virtue and quality as the first Messiah, Jesus. The returning Jesus is not literally the same Jesus, but He has the same qualities and serves the Will of the same God.
Jesus was the Messiah, but not the Messiah who will fulfil the prophecies of the OT according to Jewish beliefs. The confusion is because there are two Messiahs being prophesied about, one, the Son of God and the second, the Glory of God.
