Before vaccination rates were high we saw the VIC, NSW, and QLD Governments impose lockdowns, restrict travel and use the police to brutally beat protesters. It was deemed appropriate to restrict everyone's freedoms so that the health systems were not overwhelmed.

It is only because the majority of the population did what was necessary, got vaccinated, that these restrictions were lifted. Otherwise, all the state governments of Australia would still be acting just like the CCP in China.
