mark, they are not actually human or emotive , its a computer program that systematically sell/buys a stock in a desired direction.
They are supposed to assist selling/buying large parcels by 'professional brokers'. Ive only seen them used for dropping an sp so they can buy in, the asx spin is that they dont effect or manipulate the SP. Im of the opinion they are an unfair tool offered to some of the market place.
