Its not FUD. The test does determine leachability but 'weak aqua regia' isn't weak. Its a strong acid that basically dissolves everything and hence why the recoveries are high.
The test method doesn't equate to the ability to economically recover the REE from clay at all.
The article in Shead is a good start and reflects what experts in the REE space have been saying for some time. An ANSTO test is cheap and why it hasn't been done by DM1 one of the board members is a geoscientist is beyond me.
Still here for PGEs and Ni but REE is worthless until these tests are done. Would hate to see them sink a heap of cost on drilling only to discover there isn't an economically viable recovery opportunity.
