This question is for those who argue, “We already have a proven resource, based on the 4% of the claim where we have drilled, to operate a profitable mine.”
Then, why do you want to keep drilling holes in that same area? Look at the map of Phase 1 and 2 drilling, and then look at the proposed sites now under lengthy BLM review. More than half of them are still very near the Hakamwe spring. And that’s also where AZL wants to dig up a bulk sample the size of a large swimming pool.
What is wrong with this picture? Is the only place where lithium can be found in high-enough ppm’s to justify mining, the area immediately adjacent to the Hualapai property?
Or has the increase in lithium prices now made it worth exploring, and mining, far enough away that the Hualapai objections will be withdrawn? Has a deal already been cut, with the help of the Navajos, that a buffer zone will be established?
They could have done that two years ago, when water was not such a problem. Better late than never, I suppose, so I won’t be surprised if there is an announcement soon of unexpected developments.
