Because the motivator for those holding the 100 million short sold shares is to destroy the SP of the company. It is literally the business model.
When that is your motivator & you are talking a short stake position being built from a high of $2.16 it's serious money.

And "Short" is a better gauge than Buy, Sell or Hold as understanding the motivation of the poster may help some investors who read HC with their investment choices.

Whether the short sellers would be honest declaring this is another question, as on that, the current track record is nothing to write home about.
