I found a site yesterday that I was going to post on the algorithm forum, but got distracted. I'm sure it was about a group with a system to detect frauds in credit cards, etc by some algorithm based system that detects "unususal" activity.

Funny, the ASX allows algorithm trading (at a large price)in the hands of large financial players, hedge funds and so forth..... good vehicle for facilitating takeovers, triggering stop loss selling of smaller players.

Yes... and as Asteroider alluded to the other day, how many of these large groups are located offshore in tax havens and places where they can't be subpoenaed.
