GW used to say the economics of H2 production at this scale would allow them to throw the carbon product away.
This doesn't necessarily have to be a graphitic product. They're on record saying they can make equivalents of activated carbon, carbon black and biochar, for example. They can vary quality too.
Only the lowest grades might end up in a hole in the ground, once they're making industrial H2.
All in all, the process should give Hazer enough latitude to target numerous value markets competitively, stopping well short of undermining them.
