I think it is funny and weird just as a whole that people who DON'T hold are thought of having less credibility or straight up shouldn't be listened to... Just on basic logic you would expect an outsider who doesn't have money in the game to be able to look at an investment more objectively than someone with say, $20k riding on whether the company does well..
I mean, that is just looking at it one way.
Another is, a holder obviously holds because they see potential, so will naturally be more positive on a stock, where a non holder doesn't hold because they see potential risks that stops them wanting to buy in, so naturally they will be more negative.. But there can be equal value in both opinions, or zero value if they have an agenda... I don't see hold or non holding as relevant 95% of the time.
Let alone to think holding or not holding is the measure of credibility and value of opinion in a stock, i'd challenge that..
Post is not directed at anyone or in response to anything specific, just commenting on the theme that repeats every day on hot copper but I don't understand it.
