End game? When I go to visit a relative at a nursing home everyone except the residents have to wear masks, even outside. You have to sign in digitally while having your face scanned and temperature taken. Now everyone has to have a RATS test on Mondays and Fridays for some reason. The result is that the people there never get to see the faces of their family, friends or staff and many rooms are vacant because they can't get the staff to work under the conditions they demand.
A few years ago you just walked in as you wanted, without any restrictions, they were glad for the residents to get a visit. Even that was bad enough in such oppressive places but now it's almost unbearable, for me anyway.

So I don't think it's over, more likely it's just begun and this was the test run unless more people grow some balls and refuse to comply with all the unreasonable rules while demanding heads to roll and a new start.
