interesting history

With the lack of available information on PCL & our current activities over the last month I decided to have a look back at the association between Origin Energy & Pancontinental Oil & Gas. For long term holders you may have already picked up on these associations but for a relative newcomer & my contempories a look at the background & previous results from the association especially contributions & insights from influential people has given me reason to continue investing in this company.
Origin Energy has continued on to develop several prospects which were identified by PCL & its predecessor one step back, prior to Genesis resources, PPL (Pancontinental Petroleum Limited) a division of Pancontinental Mining. These include fields such as Tubridgi, Hovea, Beharra Springs & the Taranaki Basin in New Zealand
Unfortunately or fortunately for us newer holders we have not continued an interest in any of these developments any of which could have seen PCL in a entirely different position today & as producer of some note. What I am alluding to is that PCL has had some very intellectual property over the years that has contributed to the success of others. We still hold some of these opportunites identified previously & only need to kick a couple of goals.
I came across an interesting article involving one of the most influential contributors to the company Mr Andrew Svalbe former (CEO) who even identified the Ottway basin as having unexplored potential. Origin has also recently bought out Woodside on this development another insight from Mr Svalbe & maybe Origin.

I hope mister Svalbe is still keeping an eye on his work.
The other Stalwart is the Major shareholder Mr Henry David Kennedy who has held on to his belief & interest in the company since the beginning & has proved this recently by taking up his interest in the last share offering to maintain his 20-25% holding in the company through his subsidiaries.
I with all holders wait with anticipation the results of the 3D seismic results for Mbawa & re-testing of Stokes Bay, Developments in the Carnarvon basin etc but remember there are those out there that have exercised infinite patience & a confidence in their professional capacity also their gut feel you dont stay in for so long on hope alone.
Best of luck to all, especially long term holders with belief that could probably sell the SP down to nicks if they didnt beleive.
