1. the Liberal Party have nothing - no principles, no quality people (why would quality people join?), no leadership - ffs, they've got a bloke who looks like an alien, no ideas.
2. Albanese is not putting many feet wrong - and if he does little, can't be held to account for that because Aussies don't want leadership that actually does much (so much for that idea)
3. so, Dutton and the Liberals won't be able to lay a glove on Albanese - barring if some of his mob start having sex with goats on the House lawn - even that, he'll probably survive
it's a very bad place for Oz to be because the system requires opposition. I'm all for a system which doesn't have opposition - but, our system does require it. Without real opposition - it just cannot work, at least for long.
It's bad news all round really. The luck is needed where Albo and his mob aren't all that bad - which, in normal times, that would be wonderful.
Unfortunately, Oz needs a lot more than that - but, that's another story.
