DW guys I will seek legal/property advice when the time comes to buy the place, I was just seeing real peoples ideas on if they had done something similar with their property porfolio's

Fundamentally though I think that accusations of the extent of the housing market callapse, in Sydney in particular is exaggerated.

Sydney is the biggest city in Australia, with the most jobs and a lot of immigrants/new people are born hear/ everday, as new building construction is not keeping place with the increase in population growth > I can't see how property prices can plunge so far, especially as the bottom of the market (historically speaking) is not going to go down in dollar terms as much as houses in more affluent suburbs.
