organ donation is the most important and selfless act/gift of one human being to another...:-)..in some European countries (Spain for sure can't remeber others) you have to register yourself as a NO-Donor, otherwise they assume you are one and take what is needed. Spain was mentioned in that article (couple years back in Times on line) because apparently over there when the ambulance arrives at the car accident scene the first thing they do is make sure the kidneys are protected - never mind that the patient may be still saved, so the people are starting to complain about the rights of accident victims. I am passionately curious about all new medical inventions/technologies (my biggest holding in my portfolio is MSB - stem cells - nice ramping...hahaha) and have huge faith in our ingenuity and brilliance as a species. There will come a time that stem cells injections will be able to cure us all from everything what ails us. I just hope I will still be here to witness it! In meantime (another ramp coming...hahaha) if you feel generouse please support Fred Hollows Foundation - great man (now deceased), Australian of the year (definitely deserving the title) and one to be counted as a heros of our nation. Secular foundation restoring sight to people in the poorest countries around the globe (including our Aboriginies in remote communities). There is nothing WORST then not to be able to SEE all that beauty around us! ...:-)... ps if i give up smoking i will be like a living saint!.. i need one bad habit!...lol
