I ask a lot of questions based around finance because that's my background (institutional corporate capital raise).
Let me just say that retail does not understand how
much financiers want a piece of this. It fits 'new' (ESG), and 'traditional' (IRR/EBITDA) guidelines many financiers work to.
Additionally, I will say that the capex number (higher than some expected (for reasons explained,
2.7x PFS plant size etc.), actually works to advantage. The investment will most likely take a syndicated form, and for a syndicate to work there is a minimum investment threshold. This means investors won't look at the investment unless they can investment a minimum amount (e.g. $250 million) and the syndicate has at least 5 participants (some like NAIF will invest proportionally more).
So much the average retail investor does not know, care to understand or even give a crap about, but I do and that's why I ask questions directly. DYOR
