The final destination is maximum returns
not dollar - but percentage
if you can buy back shares on a PE of 2, that's a great return
thus -
- do you maximise returns over the next 2 years? Dividends
- or do you maximise returns over the next several years? Dividends + buybacks?
who knows? But buybacks sure burn short sellers attacking the stock
