DNA based test seems to have similar detection rates however it is vastly more expensive AND requires specialised testing equipment. Colostat is protein based and can be integrated with test equipment found in most labs. And I should know, I have had genetic testing done - it had to be flown interstate and took months to come back and cost thousands.
