Well, wrong country, but right continent so we get the point. One thing to realize is outside a very few western countries, business is bribery and intrigue.
My guess is the rundown RR we're talking about is owned by the government or at least somebodies brother in law, and we get get to use it after we replace the termite ridden sleepers and rusted/missing rails. Still at least the bed is there and maybe a few bridges.
Hopefully, the Chinese will buy the whole country before we have to worry about it or the next coup.
