Seems you are confusing strategy with politics.
The EU and US are not after battlefield victory. They are simply providing Ukraine with enough equipment to keep this War going long enough to wear Russia out both financially and emotionally.
The Russian public will reach a point where casualties and cost of living pressure are no longer tolerable. That is the strategy adopted to fight this War.
The cost of the Afghanistan War was a major factor in bringing down the Soviet Union in 1991.
The cost of defending Ukraine is shared by many.
Its a very simple but effective strategy that most are well aware of.
To achieve military victory Ukraine would have to march into Moscow which we all know will never happen.
