It isn't credible that a judge in Arizona will look favourably on a bunch of sweaty undergraduate lawyers with unwashed afros seeking an injunction to temporally halt a drilling permit. There needs to be adequate grounding and relevance in NEPA. You don't get an injunction simply by asking for one. Camping out in the Nevada wilderness at Thacker Pass, reading Rocky and Bullwinkel comics each night by candlelight is merely a provisional life and an exercise in reality avoidance. The climate crisis demands urgent decarbonisation. You're wishing for a society unwilling to commit to action that will affect the world for which you are partly responsible. Stars are beautiful, but they may not take part in anything; they must look on forever. You just can't maintain this childlike Peter Pan view of the world and live your provisional life as the consequences are too dire. The BLM permit is coming. The pressure for it is building inexorably. Each new battery gigafactory in the US adds to it.
