    The saga:
I am a physically active male over 71 years of age.
Friday afternoon 16 December I developed sore lungs and a slight difficulty in breathing. Several hours later I had a severe headache and started to have a fever. I decided to do a RAT test - It was positive for Covid. I avoided any further direct contact with neighbours.
Friday night I put an extra quilt and blanket on the bed (this is summer time in Perth) just to avoid feeling "cold"
Saturday and Sunday I slept. I was not feeling hungry but being conscious of the fact that I had barely eaten since Friday afternoon, I had a light meal. The food went straight through my digestive system in 30 minutes. I dosed myself with vitamin C and B multivitamin tablets in the vain hope that this may help the body defence system. I was drinking plenty of water. I was coughing up phlegm.
Sunday night My weight had dropped to 80.3 kg, down 3kg from my long term average. I carry a small pot-gut,
Monday morning 19 December I woke with a headache and sore throat but the peak of the fever had passed. Later in the morning I decided to walk in the field opposite our house. After about 30 minutes I arrived back home exhausted. I slept for several more hours, woke up, watered the garden did a few chores around the house and slept for several more hours. Still drinking lots of water. Still not feeling hungry.
Monday night My weight had dropped to 79.3 kg. (One kilogram in a day!!) Still have a ticklish throat, headache almost gone. My pot-gut had barely changed in size but when looking in the mirror I noticed that I had lost a lot of muscle mass. I can only assume that my body was busily removing muscle cells that were damaged by Covid. I am drained of energy, and am unable to concentrate in detail. Still not feeling hungry.
Still drinking lots of water. Urine is still strong yellow colour.

So that is my experience with Covid - so far.
